Do Drop In
recording room
a small but effective equipment was and is the basic of my intention, to produce music without any electronics, to reach a most possible natural sound. (see below)
recording room
A variety of selected analog percussion compensate an electronic drumset. The accordion in the front is a hundred year old Hohner "Regina" with all original parts, which are working maybe to 40%. But with an incredible sound. I put it on a selfmade acryl glass mechanism and so i can play it like an organ.
electric guitars
on "Ice Age" i use them all three. On the left my beloved G&L Legacy special, (the best Strat) for fat and singing blues sounds. In the middle a very nice Ibanez S670PB and on the right a pure Ibanez A236F, both with dangerous distortion and serious sustain.
Acoustic guitars
I used them on "Ice Age" and "host as ghead". I love them both. Below a Martin DCPA4 and above a 50 years old Levin also made by Martin, a guitar which guided me on all my journeys around the world.
a funny thing
in 2015 i travelled to Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. There i met a very nice guy named Zack. He owned a little guitar factory and made guitars with very interresting desings. He told me, he like to travel to Europe next year and i invited him to visit me in my hometown in Germany. And he really did come. And as a guest present he offered me this beautiful tiny travelling guitar wit an extraordinary sound. And the crazy thing is, it is foldable !
amp
This amplifier was handed me in 1995 by Edmund Engl himselves as a special edition, because i know him since his beginning in the early eighties. And it has lost nothing of it`s fantastic sound.
